Overview

Very few have had the pleasure of working on a trading floor and backstage at NYFW in one career. Vastly different, but I love roles that have an underlying electricity.

I grew up with the internet, so it was fate that I would be working at a dot com during the tech bubble of 2001. My mother purchased my first Commodore 64 when I was a kid and I never left my room. Years later that passion came full circle when I purchased my first designer bag on now defunct eluxury.com. I received my B.A. from NYU and took my first professional digital role selling internet market research for eMarketer. After the tech crash, I sought safety in the stable legal industry holding several legal marketing roles. I decided to further develop my quantitative skill set by heading to the midwest obtaining an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Unbeknownst to me another bubble, this time housing, was set to disrupt my career path. After graduating with an M.B.A., I settled in a hedge fund sales role at Merrill Lynch during the Wall Street crisis. Weakened by our real estate positions, Merrill was sold to Bank of America and myself along with most of the new incoming associates were out of a job. It was during this reflective period that I sought opportunities to reconnect my love of digital, fashion and retail. I worked with Tracy Reese to launch their social media and website presence. Being a small company I had opportunities to do everything from run sample sales, work backstage during NYFW, assistant the retail store and partner with finance to analyze the most profitable styles and department store partners. I transitioned from that role to Bloomingdale's launching their foray into mobile. I enjoyed being the first mobile hire overseeing everything from the mobile marketing strategy to the product management of the mobile site and the app. These experiences prepared me for product management of larger mobile projects at L'Oreal which culminated in my role at Condé Nast.

Bringing my mobile experiences to a print dominated organization honed my leadership skills, my presentation skills and my negotiation techniques as I partnered with executives and shifted how they approached client solutions using new mobile technologies including image recognition, NFC and augmented reality. After taking some time away from the corporate world full-time to travel and manage personal obligations, I aimed to bring fresh eyes to the mobile and digital space. I have had the pleasure of cutting my teeth at legacy martech organizations such as Cheetah and mobile first organizations such as Braze. I enjoy the higher stakes in the B2B world and enjoy partnering with sales and product teams to gain enterprise wins.
